Sherdog.com was created by the photographer Jeff Sherwood back in 1997 and was later refined by Garrett Poe. Sherdog features MMA news, individual records of fighters (known as the "Fight Finder"), reviews and previews of MMA events, interviews with fighters and referees, discussion forums and four radio/podcast shows.
Dana White bio
Dana White was born on July 28, 1969 in Manchester, Connecticut and is the current President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the well known mixed martial arts organization based in the United States.
Tapout
Tapout is the American business enterprise specializing in the manufacture of clothing and miscellaneous gear targeted at the mixed martial arts community, as well as a magazine devoted to mixed martial arts fighting (formerly Bodyguard Magazine).
Chute Boxe Academy
It opened as a Muay Thai academy in 1978, the head trainer Rudimar Fedrigo later went on to expand the program in 1991 when it then began to include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and other areas of modern mixed martial arts techniques. By 1995, the Chute Boxe team was considered a prime training ground for Vale Tudo fighters. In 2004, an American branch, Chute Boxe USA, was established in Los Angeles, California.
Ultimate Fighting Championship
The UFC began as a single-event tournament to find the world's best fighters irrespective of their style, and was based upon Brazilian vale tudo fighting. Although there were a few limited number of rules, fighting in the UFC was marketed as no holds barred, and contests were often violent and brutal. Early UFC fights were less sport than spectacle, which led to accusations of brutality and "human cock fighting" by Senator John McCain and others. Political pressures eventually led the UFC into
